WebThe notion of community has been at the heart of the Internet since its inception. For many years, scientists have used the Internet to share data, collaborate on research, and exchange messages. WebWhilst the first meaning is surrounding the territorial and geographical notion of community – i.e. neighbourhoods, towns, cities; the alternative meaning proposes a more relational relationship, where it is more focused on the ‘quality of character of human relationship’ disregarding any links to location.
