WebAug 30, 2013 · AU. Jul 25, 2013. #1. Hi, I am worried my Betta is sick. I am new to fish and he has been hanging around the top of the tank for nearly two days. He occasionally goes for a swim, but then goes and rests on the top of the heater which the part he rests on is near the waters edge so he doesnt have to swim to go to the surface. When I feed, they do go down and feed some, but end back up at the top. I do not have any dedicated bottom foods as of yet, but there appears to be a sufficient amount of Tetra Ruby making it to the bottoom.
