WebDec 8, 2006 · I happen to like black chrome. It gives the barrel (or barrels) a matte finish, and they are not reflecting light back into my eyes when shooting on a bright, sunny day. They seem very durable, as well (but for true durability, ask me after another 25 years of use!) I only had the gun a couple of years now.
